I love to play around with red tones--brighter, coppery ones for spring and summer, then a darker, burgundy one for fall and winter. Normally my hair takes very well to color, but sometimes it needs an extra oomph in the conditioning department. This product by Neutrogena is one of the best conditioning agents I have ever used to sooth dried out, tired strands.
The directions on the jar caution you to use a small amount, and they are very right. I have short hair--doesn't even touch my collar--so a dime sized amount was great. If you have shoulder length or longer, you might want to use a tad more. Shampoo as usual then forgoe your normal strength conditioner for this rich, creamy mixture instead. Leave in three minutes, rinse and style. After blow drying at a medium heat setting, my hair looked as if it had undergone the star treatment! Bouncy, and vibrant, it really seemed to help the color stand out too. If you have lots of texture in your hair, follow up with a light pomade and voila!
Price-wise, it's very much worth it. The jar is 6 oz. size, about four to four and a half inches tall. Since you need so little of it for each use, I anticipate this lasting me for at least four to six months. After all, it's not necessarily one you'll need to use everyday, just when you want to give your hair a little bit of heaven.
