This product does what it's supposed to do, thickening my age-related thinning hair. My hair growth was noticeable in one month, a much shorter time period than I expected or which has been reported by the scientific literature.
However, as a health care provider, I do advise some caution and I recommend that anyone who is considering this treatment seek medical evaluation first (just like I did for myself) to rule out causes other than age-related hair loss (also called androgenetic alopecia). For example, if your thinning hair is due to a thyroid disorder, you could waste significant time and money using the wrong treatment for the wrong reason.
Another caveat is the need to commit to a twice a day treatment for life. If you stop, you lose hair again. I had to balance the need to commit to a treatment with the desire for an efficacious treatment. If you wait too long in the process of losing hair, the drug won't be as effective, but if you start too soon, you'll never know if you really needed it (another reason to get a medical opinion). These are general treatment issues, however, and not really related to the quality of this particular product.
Personally, I'm happy with the product, glad for the savings of an effective generic, and I plan to reorder it again.
