My hair had to be bleached to get rid of a dark color and has been damaged and breaking ever since. I wanted my hair to grow fast so I could cut the rest of the damage out and finally let my hair just grow. After using this my hair didn't break or shed like it was, and I could actually manage my thick curly hair.. It did grow faster as well.In less then a month my hair has grown a little under an inch. I have long, fine hair that tends to get dry. Only recently have I been really committed to keeping my hair healthy; I want to try growing my hair out really long! I use frequent deep conditioners, leave-in treatments and try to use heat-stylers as infrequently as possible. Not gonna lie, this product got my attention because of Evangeline Lily (I'm a big Lostie!) I thought I'd give the shampoo and conditioner a try, and they were ok, but not the best. THIS, however! If you are trying to give your hair a big boost of moisture and health, do yourself a favor and give the overnight treatment a try. Here were the best things I noticed about it:
1. My ends felt so soft and healthy after one night that I changed my mind about needing to go for a haircut. If you're trying to grow out your hair, you want to get as few cuts as possible, right? Here you go- add a few months of growing between cuts.
2. My hair actually felt heavier, even after washing and drying the next day. I could literally tell the difference in moisture absorbed by weight! It meant a noticeable difference in flyaways, and my fine hair still felt styled hours after I was done drying it.
3. I was very skeptical about how a product this intense wouldn't feel oily, but it really doesn't. I put the product in my hair a few hours before bed, but it was totally absorbed in minutes- a little bit of a "gunked up" feeling while the product was actually on, but not oily. I just put my hair in a braid to keep it out of the way, and to not feel 'unbathed.'
I will say that you'll probably need more than the recommended 1-2 pumps. My hair is long enough that I can tuck it under my arms, and I use between 6-8 pumps. Otherwise, nothing but good to say about this awesome product! Enjoy your new hair!

I am of African decent and have naturally kinky hair. I used the Aphogee Two step deep conditioner along with this Keratin & Green Tea product before flat ironing my hair. I have flat ironed my hair before using products like Biosilk, etc. and nothing compared to the results I have gained using the Aphogee Keratin product along with the deep conditioner. I love this product. I have very curly, very frizzy hair and this is the best deep conditioner I have found yet. One treatment of this and my hair felt stronger, almost like each strand was thicker, but not weighed down. The more I use it, the better my hair gets - it even seems to be growing faster, though it may just be breaking less. I try to use it once a week - I take a long soak in the bath & read a magazine while it's on my hair - good excuse for a quiet half-hour of "me" time. :) My hair is less frizzy, softer, tangles less and looks neater than before I started using it.

It a conditioner but I use it before I wash my hair with Shikikai Soap because it helps prevent my hair from drying out and it works out well with my Alma conditioning powder. I only have one problem and that is that it doesn't last long but that may be my problem: It doesn't last long. My hair is thick and very long and on top of that I wash my hair 4 times a week and the conditioner only lasted 2 weeks. I recommend buying 4 or 3 or else it won't last long if you have thick hair but if your hair is regular or medium thickness you should be fine. I don't know if all of the ingredients are natural(I'm going to have to do some research ond that) But it hasn't conflicted with any of my other product or hasn't stunted my hair growth.

Only writing this because I see that someone had some hair issues as a result of this. :( Woldn't want someone else ot make the same mistake.
THIS is a PROTEIN Treatment.
A reconstructor, I think.
The purpose of a protein treatment is to strengthen hair. If your hair is limp, stretches to a great extent when pulled, mushy, breaking, etc... then this would helpful to you.
If your hair is dry, brittle, taut when pulled, with no give, 'breaking' then this would most likely increase your issues. Because it will make the hair dryer, even more brittle and more prone to breakage.
You'd most likely need MOISTURE--conditioners and shampoos that moisturize the hair, i.e.,
1. Nexxus Humectress,
2. Elucence MB
3. Aubrey Organics
4. Keracare Humecto, etc...
You're not supposed to use this product as you would a regular condition. And you have to know how to assess your own 'hair health' to know if your issue even warrants the treatment.
The same rules apply whether you're relaxed or natural (to varying degrees)...because 'black' hair is dry hair. The driest of all hair types, I think. Black hair thrives on moisture.
Although--I suspect that relaxed hair may be drier because of the chemicals. Anyway--this is the main reason why it breaks. This is why some ppl have the impression that 'black hair can't grow'.
It can...you just have to know how to work around the main issue.
You have to know how to care for black hair properly.
